Weekly Blog 0001

A.W.W. !!!

Hello World! Welcome to Archidome Wednesday Weekly (AWW) Blog.

Why Wednesday? I love the Netflix series but apologies, it’s not the reason. IMO, It’s perfect to give an update in the middle of the week (not too early, not too late as well). BTW, I’m Genna not Jenna!

I’m Genna Domingo, a Filipino architect with a background in design-build and renovation practice. I left my 8-5 job (plus OTs and overnights) before I took the board exam. So far, I was self-employed since I passed and we are in the early stage of establishing our company.

I’m already in my fourth year as a registered and licensed professional. I was supposed to start this blog goals last year but I guess four is my lucky number since Wednesday is also the fourth day of the week (don’t argue haha).

Why I decided to start a blog? Though I’m still not on top of my game, I would like to make this as a public journal of my/our experiences in professional practice. I hope this journey toward endless development and improvement will be quite an adventure for you as well. So perhaps, when I recall my first blog post a year after or more, I’m optimistic that I’ll be pleased of who I’ve become as an individual and professional.

My fingers are crossed to make this as a platform to share my train of thoughts on certain topics such as tips on house construction, dissecting the Philippine tropical architecture, improving Filipinos’ way of living through design, construction project learnings, etc. I think enumerating further will make this first AWW post as long as a novel. You know what? I’m excited for the topics whirling around my head.

If you haven’t read the entire post, the takeaways are: to rekindle my passion for writing and to reignite my creative spark. So it’s my pleasure for you to know my stories in the future and I wish to meet your expectations.

Virtual cheers for my first blog entry.

Let’s claim it! Let’s be successful together in our passions and careers.
